The Texas Rangers moved to Arlington Texas in 1971, when the Washington Senators, established in 1961 relocated to Texas. The team name is taken from the famous law enforcement agency.

The Connie Mack World Series is the most prestigious amateur baseball championship in the country. Beginning with hundreds of teams across the US, Canada and Puerto Rico participating in tournaments with a goal to reach the World Series.

The American Amateur Baseball Congress, founded in 1935, is an amateur organization in the US for players from the 6U level to 19 and over. Each division is named in honor of a baseball great. The 18U is named for Connie Mack, (1862-1956) former catcher, manager and team owner
