(I don't know the reason for the World Series cachet)

Ray Winder Field was the longtime home of the Little Rock Travelers (1932-1961) - Arkansas Travelers (1963-2006) minor league teams. Originally known as Travelers Field, when it opened in 1932, the stadium was renamed in honor of Ray Winder, part-owner and general manager of the Travelers in 1966. The stadium closed in 2006 when the Travelers moved to Dickey-Stephens Park in 2007.

The Little Rock Travelers played in the Southern Association, as an affiliate team of the Pittsburgh Pirates (1934), Boston Red Sox (1937-1939) Chicago White Sox (1946) Boston Braves (1947) Detroit Tigers (1948-1955) Kansas City Athletics (1957-1958) Baltimore Orioles (1961). The team became defunct after the 1961 season

The Arkansas Travelers played in the International League (1963) Pacific Coast League (1964-1965) Texas League 1966-present). The Travelers were affiliated with the Philadelphia Phillies (1963-1965) St Louis Cardinals (1966-2000) Los Angeles Angels (2001-2016) Seattle Mariners (2017- present)
