Hoyt Wilhelm and Lou Brock were selected for induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame by the Baseball Writers Association of America

The Veteran's Committee would add Enos Slaughter and Arky Vaughn to the formal induction ceremonies  held at Cooperstown July 28, 1985
