Oina is a Romania traditional sport similar to baseball. The oldest direct notation of Oina was founded in a diet manual of 1782. In 1899 the minister of education decided that oina was to be played in schools as part of their physical education classes
Oina was features as one of four non-olympic sport stamps issued by Romania in 1997
