April 3, 2005 - Commemorative postmark announcing the return of baseball to Washington DC

The Nationals played their inaugural game visiting the Philadelphia Phillies on April 4.
the Phillies would win the game 8-4, with RBIs from Kenny Lofton, Pat Burrell, Mike Lieberthal, Chase Utley and Jon Lieber. Kenny Lofton hit a home run. Jimmy Rollins ha a stolen base. The winning pitcher was Jon Lieber
The Nationals had RBIs from Termel Sledge an Vinny Castilla. Sledge hit a home run. Ivan Hernandez had the loss.

April 14, 2005 Robert F Kennedy Stadium, Washington DC
The Nationals hosted the Arizona Diamondbacks for their inaugural home game.
The Nationals defeat the Diamondbacks 5-3.
The Nationals got RBIs from Vinny Castilla and Brian Schneider. Home Run by Castilla
The winning pitcher was Livan hernandez.
The Diamondbacks had 3 RBIs from Chad Tracy off a 9th inning home run.
Javier Vazquez took the loss.

March 30, 2008 Washington, DC
Opening Day the Atlanta Braves traveled to Washington to face the Nationals.
The Nationals would win the game 3-2 with Jon Rauch earning the win and Peter Moylan taking the loss for the Braves.
The Nationals had RBIs from Ryan Zimmerman, Austin Kearns and Nick Johnson.
The Braves picked 1 RBI on a Chipper Jones home run, the other run was unearned.
