Stockton Ports

April 15, 1999 Stockton, Ca - 50th Anniversary

The Stockton Ports are a minor-league team, a A-affiliate fo the Oakland Athletics, playing in the Low-A West league. The team name derives from the city's seaport. Home games are played at Banner Island Ballpark, which opened in 2005

The team, the Stockton Flyers was established in 1941 as members of the California League, winning the championship 11 times. Operations were suspended from 1943-1946, when they returned as the Stockton Ports
