The 1938 World Series was held between the New York Yankees and the Chicago Cubs.
The yankees would ultimately sweep the Cubs in 4 games.
This was the last World Series to be played by Lou Gehrig.
The yankees lineup included Gehrig, Bill Dickey, Joe DiMaggio, Lefty Gomez, Joe Gordon and Red Ruffing, Frank Crosetti.
The Cubs lineup included Dizzy Dean, Gabby Hartnett, Billy Herman and former Yankee Tony Lazzeri.
