World Series - 1920: Cleveland Indians v Brooklyn Dodgers

1920-Oct-10 : Game 5, Cleveland second basemen Bill Wambsganss turned an unassisted triple play. He caught a line drive off the bat of Clarence Mitchell, stepped on second base to put out Pete Kilduff, and tagged Otto Miller coming from first base. Mitchell made history again in the eighth inning by hitting into a double play, accounting for five outs in two straight at-bats.

The game also saw the first grand slam in World Series history, hit by Cleveland's Elmer Smith and the first Series home run by a pitcher, Cleveland's Jim Bagby, Sr

Ebbets Field was a Major League Baseball stadium in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, New York. It is mainly known for having been the home of the Brooklyn Dodgers baseball team of the National League (1913–1957) and home to Negro league baseball's Brooklyn Eagles of the Negro National League II 

Construction began on March 4, 1912. The first game played was an inter-league exhibition game against the New York Yankees on April 5, 1913. The demolition of Ebbets Field began on February 23, 1960. More than 35 years after the Dodgers had left Brooklyn

The 1952 World Series featured the 3-time defending champions New York Yankees beating the Brooklyn Dodgers in seven games. The Yankees won their 4th consecutive title, tying the mark they set in 1936–1939 under manager Joe McCarthy, and Casey Stengel became the second manager in Major League history with 4 consecutive World Series championships. This was the Yankees' 15th World Series championship win, and the 3rd time they defeated the Dodgers in 6 years.

Los Angeles Dodgers - Dodgertown


March 17, 2008 the Los Angeles Dodgers  played their final game at Holman Stadium, Dodgertown, Vero Beach, Fl. The facility served as the spring training home to the Dodgers for 61 years. The official date of termination for use of the facility was July 14, 2008

The Dodgers resumed spring training on March 1, 2009 at Camelback Ranch - Glendale, Phoenix, Az. Spring training facility for both the Dodgers and Chicago White Sox

November 2018, Major League baseball announced plans to renovate the facility, which will be remanded the Jackie Robinson Training Complex

On June 6 the Dodgers were home against the Philadelphia Phillies, taking the game 3-2

The Dodgers left when I was growing up, so I followed the Yankees and Berra was better known to me
I originally honored Berra with this cachet on the Campanella cover and have now truly been able to add Yogi
