50th National High School Championships - Japan
August 9, 1968 - 50th Anniversary of the Japanese High School Baseball Championship
The National High School Baseball championship - Summer Koshien is an annual nationwide tournament.
The game was founded in 1915, with the ceremonial first pitch thrown on August 18, 1915. The event was organized by the Japan High School federation and Asahi Shimbun. The tournament is held during the summer school vacation period, culminating in a 2-week final tournament
