Johnny Evers played as a 2nd baseman from 1902-1917, 1922, 1929 for the Chicago Cubs, Boston Braves, Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago White Sox
Elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame - 1946 and Chicago Cubs Hall of Fame - 2021

Considered one of the smartest ballplayer, Evers was part of a great double-play combination with Joe Tinker and Frank Chance, which was immortalized in the poem :Baseball's Sad Lexicon"
