Stockton Ports : MiLB

April 15, 1999 Stockton, Ca - 50th Anniversary

The Stockton Ports are a minor-league team, a A-affiliate fo the Oakland Athletics, playing in the Low-A West league. The team name derives from the city's seaport. Home games are played at Banner Island Ballpark, which opened in 2005

The team, the Stockton Flyers was established in 1941 as members of the California League, winning the championship 11 times. Operations were suspended from 1943-1946, when they returned as the Stockton Ports
They have been associated with many teams over the years:

  • Milwaukee Brewers - 1979-2000 (Mudville Nines in 2000)
  • Cincinnati Reds - 2001-02
  • Texas Rangers - 2003-04

Visalia Rawhide - Opening Day 2011

The Visalia Rawhide, Class-A advanced team playing in the California League. The Rawhide have been in existence since 2009.  Prior to this the team, Visalia has held held affiliations in minor league baseball since 1946 -

  • Visalia Cubs (1946-1952, 1954-1956)
  • Visalia Stars (1953)
  • Visalia Redlegs (1957-1959)
  • Visalia Athletics (1960-1961)
  • Visalia White Sox (1862)
  • Visalia Mets (1968-1975)
  • Visalia Oaks (1977-1992, 1995-2008)
  • Central Valley Rockies (1993-1994) 


The Rawhide play their games in Recreation Park, which opened in 1946 seating approximately 2,700 fans
