Stamps were then printed with "St. Vincent" until 1992 when stamps began carrying the "St. Vincent and the Grenadines" title

Since 1988 the country has been client of the Inter-Governmental Philatelic Corporation (IGPC), which has been criticized for inappropriate (stamp subjects not related to the country) and excessive issues. The IGPC represents over 70 different countries
