St Vincent and the Grenadines, former British colony in the Winward Islands, has produced stamps since 1861. these featured the British monarchs head or the ER Mongram and crown until 1970. Stamps were then printed with "St. Vincent" until 1992 when stamps began carrying the "St. Vincent and the Grenadines" title

Since 1988 the country has been client of the Inter-Governmental Philatelic Corporation (IGPC), which has been criticized for inappropriate (stamp subjects not related to the country) and excessive issues. The IGPC represents over 70 different countries

Carl Yastrzemski played for the Boston Red Sox 1961-1983. An 18-time All-Star, 7 Gold Gloves, 3000 hit club (with a total of 3,419 hits), 452 Home Runs, 3-time AL Batting Champion (1963, 1967, 1968)

1967 - led the Red Sox to the American League Pennant, voted the American League MVP, won the Triple Crown
