Buggs Bunny Baseball

The US Postal Service issued a set of 10 stamps, each picturing Bugs Bunny in his various roles. One of his most most memorable appearances came in Baseball Bugs, 1946 Warner Bros. Looney Tunes theatrical animated cartoon directed by Frtiz Freleng. Release date Feb 2, 1946. In the short feature, Bugs takes on the Gas-House Gorillas, singlehandedly.

The stamp artwork was developed in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, featuring work from Warner Bros. Animation Artists. Peter Browngardt provided the illustrations, Greg Breeding was the designer and William J Gicker served as art director fo the Postal Service
