The Clinton LumberKings are a collegiate summer baseball team of the Prospect League. They are located in Clinton, Iowa, and play their home games at NelsonCorp Field. From 1956 to 2020, they were members of Minor League Baseball's Midwest League. With Major League Baseball's reorganization of the minor leagues after the 2020 season, Clinton was not selected to continue in affiliated baseball

 

Mexican Baseball League - 50th Anniversary : 1974

The Mexican Baseball League (Liga Mexicana de Béisbol), is a professional baseball league in Mexico. It is the oldest running professional sports league in the country. The league has 20 teams organized in two divisions, North and South. Teams play 114 games each season. Five teams in each division advance to a four-round postseason tournament that culminates in the Serie del Rey, a best-of-seven championship series between the two division champions. The Mexican League has two affiliated developmental leagues, the Liga Norte de México and Mexican Academy League.

Founded in 1925, LMB grew substantially in the immediate post-World War II era thanks to the efforts of Jorge Pasquel, who greatly increased the quality and visibility of the league by luring players from Major League Baseball

Joe DiMaggio - Editorial Novaro : 1969

The Festival del Mundo de la Historieta (Festival of the World of Cartoons/Comics) was a major promotional and anniversary celebration hosted by the prominent Mexican publisher Editorial Novaro throughout 1969.

The festival branding appeared on 1969 issues of popular translated American comic series published in Mexico by Novaro, including Superman, Tarzan, Bugs Bunny (El Conejo de la Suerte), Fantomas, and various Walt Disney titles (Historietas de Walt Disney).

As part of the 1969 celebration, Novaro released a companion sticker/stamp album (Álbum del Festival del Mundo de la Historieta). Readers collected and pasted stamps—which were printed or cut out from the covers and pages of participating Novaro comic books published that year. Joe DiMaggio was the only baseball player that was part of this collection

MiLB - Spartanburg SC

The Spartanburg Spinners was the name of a minor league baseball team located in Spartanburg, South Carolina in 1983.

The team played in the Class-A South Atlantic League in 1983, as an affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. Mike Maddux and Lance McCullers both played for the Spinners. 

The Spinners existed for a single season in Spartanburg, they were actually a continuation of the Spartanburg Phillies, a minor league affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies from 1963 to 1994. The team changed its name a few times in the 1980s, playing as the Spartanburg Traders in 1981 and 1982, and the Spartanburg Suns in 1984 and 1985. They returned to the Phillies name in 1986 and kept it until their final season in 1994.

In 1995, the team moved to Kannapolis, North Carolina, becoming the Piedmont Phillies.

MiLB - Blue Jays

The Knoxville Blue Jays, locally referred to as the K-Jays, were a long-time Class AA farm club of the Toronto Blue Jays from 1980 until 1999

The team did showcase future Major League stars such as Jesse Barfield (’80 and ’81), Jimmy Key (’83), Cecil Fielder (’84-’85), Fred McGriff (’84), David Wells (’84 and ’86), Pat Hentgen (’90) and Jeff Kent (’91).The team was re-branded following the 1992 season, taking back the historic Knoxville Smokies name. The relationship with Toronto continued until 2003, when the St. Louis Cardinals replaced the Blue Jays as Knoxville’s parent club.

The Myrtle Beach Blue Jays were a minor league baseball team affiliated with the Toronto Blue Jays, based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. They began play in the South Atlantic League in 1987 after being relocated from Florence, South Carolina (Florence Blue Jays).  During this time, they would see players such as Carlos Delgado, Steve Karsay, Derek Bell, Pat Hentgen, and Chris Weinke wear their uniform. The club was renamed the Myrtle Beach Hurricanes in 1991. The team was sold after the 1992 season and relocated to Maryland as the Hagerstown Suns (replacing an Eastern League franchise of the same name).
