Jim Thome played from 1991 until 2012, wearing the uniforms of the Cleveland Indians, Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, Minnesota Twins and Baltimore Orioles.

On Aug 18, 2018, the Indians again honored Thome by retiring his Jersey #25, which will be displayed in the upper deck of Progressive Field. The event was commemorated by Thome taking a final "home run trot" around the bases with his son Landon. Thome is current leader in walk-off home runs with 13
