Washington Senators 1901-1960
Founded as the Senators in 1901, the team changed names to the Nationals during the 1905-1955 , and then changed back to the Senators from 1956-1960. The names "Senators", "Nationals" and "Nat" were used interchangeably by fans and media. The team moved to Minnesota taking the name Twins in 1961

All-Star Game : 2013 Citi Field
The American League shut out the National League for the third time in All-Star game history; the National League has six shutouts. This game marks the first time that there have been shutouts in consecutive All-Star games
MVP: Mariano Rivera (NYY) - Rivera, who retired at the end of the season, was named the All-Star Game Most Valuable Player. Rivera pitched in the 8th inning and retired all 3 batters he faced. He was the first reliever selected to an All-Star team to ever receive the award, as well as the first pitcher since Pedro Martínez in 1999. Given his pending retirement, the award was given in recognition of his outstanding career

Oklahoma City 89ers played from 1962 to 1997. The 89ers played in the Triple-A American Association (AA) in 1962, moved to the Pacific Coast League from 1963 to 1968, and returned to the AA from 1969 to 1997. the 89ers rejoined the PCL in 1998

Jason Bay
Bay debuted with the Padres on May 23, 2003, getting his first major league hit, a home run, in the ninth inning. Two days later, he suffered a broken right wrist after being hit by a pitch. August 26, 2003, Bay was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates, along with Óliver Pérez and Cory Stewart in exchange for Brian Giles. He finished the season with a .287 batting average, four home runs, and 14 RBI in 30 games.
2004: Bay batted .282 in 120 games, leading all major league rookies in home runs (26) and RBIs (82). He led all NL rookies in slugging percentage (.550), extra base hits (54) and total bases (226). With his 26 home runs, Bay broke a Pirates rookies record of 23 set by Johnny Rizzo in 1936 and matched by Ralph Kiner in 1946. Selected as the 2004 NL Rookie of the Year by The Sporting News, Bay was the second Pittsburgh Pirates player honored with the award, after second baseman Johnny Ray in 1982. Bay was also the first Canadian player to win the award
