Washington Senators 1901-1960
Founded as the Senators in 1901, the team changed names to the Nationals during the 1905-1955 , and then changed back to the Senators from 1956-1960. The names "Senators", "Nationals" and "Nat" were used interchangeably by fans and media. The team moved to Minnesota taking the name Twins in 1961
