The Norwalk Stamp Club utilized sports related paintings by 1930s Norwalk artist George Avison to be used as their cachet. The sports covered were baseball, basketball (Sept 10) and football (Sept 12)
The covers feature the Oyster Festival Sporting Station postmark, with a baseball "pearl" in the oyster for the Sept 11 postmark, the other days feature the sport appropriate ball in the oyster
