Harvey Haddix, left handed pitcher for the St Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds, Pittsburgh Pirates and Baltimore Orioles.

Haddis is best known for pitching 12 perfect innings for the Pirates against the Milwaukee Braves on May 26, 1959 only to lose the game in the 13th inning 2-0. Lew Budette pitched the shutout for the Braves...

Over a 14-year career, Haddix complied a 136-113 record, with 1,575 strikeouts, a 3.63 ERA and 99 complete games, 2,235 innings pitched. Was the winning pitcher in game 5 of the World Series for the Pirates against the NY Yankees, and came in as  a reliever  in Game 7 and won on Bill Mazeroski famous home run as the Pirates took the Series...
