100th Anniversary of Doubleday Field, Cooperstown, NY
Named for Abner Doubleday, the field is located 2-village blocks away from the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. The ground have been used for baseball since 1920, on Elihu Phinney's farm. A wooden grandstand was built in 1924, let to be replaced by a steel and concrete structure in 1939. Current seating capacity has been extended to 9,791 fans
